Build the rails for how money moves next.

Clearfinal is a Delaware corporation headquartered in Miami, Florida, building a multi-asset settlement platform: one API and one ledger to move money across bank transfers, foreign exchange, stablecoins and digital assets — across borders, across rails, with compliance built into every transaction. The platform has been designed end to end and demonstrated internally. We are now building it for launch, and hiring the engineers who will own it.

Why this work matters

A problem the world has formally prioritised

Cross-border business payments still move over multi-hop correspondent banking: days to settle, opaque pricing, reconciliation by hand. The G20 has made faster, cheaper and more transparent cross-border payments a formal roadmap objective, and the IMF, World Bank and BIS all report that existing infrastructure is unlikely to meet it without new platforms.

Money itself has changed shape

Value now moves as fiat, stablecoins, crypto and tokenised receivables — across systems that were never designed to talk to each other. Most infrastructure is single-rail: banks do fiat, crypto firms do digital assets, and nothing settles coherently across both.

ISO 20022, from the ground up

The global migration to ISO 20022 is rewriting how payment data is structured. Retrofitting it onto decades-old core banking is painful. Building on it from day one, as the native data model, is a genuine architectural advantage.

Payments for autonomous systems

AI agents can already transact on-chain, but they cannot settle in fiat, clear against bank rails, or satisfy compliance across jurisdictions. We are building toward agent-driven payment orchestration across on-ramp and off-ramp — programmable settlement that autonomous systems can actually use, with compliance in the transaction rather than bolted on afterwards.

Open roles

Senior Backend Engineer / Lead — Fintech Platform & Financial Core

Remote (Spain or Latin America preferred) · Full-time · Competitive salary for your location + early equity

Own the financial core of the platform: the double-entry ledger, the customer-funds safeguarding model, the cross-rail routing engine that decides how each payment settles, and the compliance rules engine designed to run inside every flow. You will shape the data model the rest of the platform is being built on, and report directly to the CTO. TypeScript and NestJS on PostgreSQL, domain-driven design. Strong engineers from Java, Go or Python fintech backgrounds are very welcome.

Full-Stack Engineer — Customer & Operations Portals

Remote (Latin America preferred) · Full-time · Competitive salary for your location + early equity

Own features end to end across our Customer and Operations portals: onboarding and verification, live-quote payments, approval flows, and the compliance review tooling our operations team works in daily. TypeScript across the stack, React and Next.js with Node or NestJS. These interfaces are a window onto a live financial system, where a rounding error or an ambiguous state is a real problem for a real customer.

To apply, send a short note about the most interesting system you have owned, plus a link to your work — GitHub, a write-up, or a resume. No cover letter needed.

How we work

AI-native engineering

We build spec-first with Cursor and Claude Code, and we expect you to push those tools further than we have. Judgment, system design and product sense are what we hire for; the tooling handles the boilerplate.

Direct ownership

You work directly with the CTO on a platform still being shaped. Decisions are fast, written down, and genuinely yours to influence.

Correctness over cleverness

Money movement demands idempotency, double-entry, reconciliation and audit trails. Financial software is judged on what happens in the failure case, and we take that seriously.

Modern stack, real depth

TypeScript end to end, NestJS, PostgreSQL, React and Next.js, domain-driven design, event-driven settlement flows, and an ISO 20022-native data model. Greenfield, from pre-launch through scale.

How hiring works

  1. Intro call with the CTO

30 to 45 minutes on the platform, the role, and your background.

  2. Technical conversation

A system-design and architecture discussion grounded in problems we are actually solving.

  3. Practical discussion

A walk through something substantial you have built, or a scoped exercise if you would rather show than tell.

  4. References and offer

We move quickly and tell you where you stand at every stage.
